A Link With The Past

A Link with The Past

The Woodlands Hotel has a link into the past when it was a private home called The 'Wylde', c.1933.  The 'Wylde' at one time belonged to
William Watson, owner of Forebank Dye works, Victoria Road, Dundee.  The firm specialised in dying, bleaching and finishing all kinds of flax, cotten and jute yarns. Best Western Woodlands Hotel

Around 1933 the 'Wylde' became Shepherds Convalelescent Home before being turned into Woodlands Hotel some twelve years later in 1945.

Today the Woodlands Hotel boasts a new extention, replacing the hedge in front of the house, allowing ample space for new facilities including a Ballroom, Leisure Club and additional rooms.
